Locally Owned and Operated by Matt & Suzie Fleming
As a native Texan, Matt Fleming has always held a deep respect for the shooting industry. His professional career consists of more than 24 years of information technology experience where he has continually demonstrated the ability to meld technical solutions to address the business needs of the client.
Matt & Suzie's three daughters graduated from Friendswood High School. Amanda obtained her Biology degree at Texas Woman's University. With her husband, Jeff, they have four children residing in Friendswood. Stephanie completed her Bachelor's and Master's in Architecture at Texas A&M. With her husband, Jason, they reside in the Washington, D.C. area. Our youngest daughter, Ginny, is pursuing her college education.
Much of their involvement with the community has been related to the activities of their children. Matt coached Girls Softball for more than fifteen years and remembers the days when they struggled for field space at Renwick Park. He participated with some great individuals that allowed for the move to the Sportspark and the construction of the batting cages and the build out of field 4. Of course, as sporting seasons changed, Matt coached Girls Basketball, as well. When the girls were in the Band, as part of the Pit Crew, Suzie and Matt helped support the Mighty Mustang Band. They have participated for many years with the Lighthouse Charity Team and help with various community projects. Matt is currently a member of the Knights of Columbus chapter at Mary Queen Church and you may probably see Matt cooking corn during our Friday night, Lenten Fish Frys.
In addition to Matt's professional career, he has been a Federal Firearms Licensee since 1984. He served on the Board of Directors for PSC Shooting Club for 17 years, serving as President, Vice-President and Membership Director. On behalf of PSC, Matt accepted the Outstanding Club in America award at the National Rifle Association's annual convention in 1995.
From 1992 through 1998, Matt was the Editor for the Texas State Rifle Association's bi-monthly journal. He is a former state champion in metallic silhouette shooting. Matt was in the second class in 1995 to become a Texas Concealed Handgun License instructor.
